Providing a residential medical facility for men experiencing homelessness with acute medical needs in Washington, DC. Christ House provides 24/7 nursing care in a safe environment that promotes healing and hope and serves three nutritious meals each day. It also provides patients with transportation to and from appointments, other case management and substance use support services, and operates a permanent supportive housing program for former patients.

Funding Request For:

The Community Service Grant will fund the replacement of windows in the sun room, which provides a comfortable seating area for patients and is the designated spot for relaxing. The main windows are original to the renovation and are foggy due to a broken seal. This has made the area less than ideal for patients. There are no other spaces with natural light, making the sun room essential for healing and general well-being.
