Trees for The Capital

Trees for the Capital - Rotary Foundation Projects DC | Rotary Club Foundation of DC

Our Commitment to Urban Greenery

The Peter Gilsey Trees for the Capital program beautifies Washington, DC’s urban landscape by planting a tree in honor of each weekly luncheon speaker at the Rotary Club. Since 1990, we have planted more than 1,200 trees around the Tidal Basin and Farragut Square. More than just greening the city, it’s a symbol of growth and community solidarity. Together, we help transform our Nation’s Capitol into the lush landscape we all deserve. Every tree contributes to a more beautiful tomorrow.
