Funding Request For:

Continued expansion of The Book Project’s Read in Color effort to bring diverse books to underserved and underrepresented communities across the Washington, DC region. The focus is on communities east of the Anacostia River and those with significant immigrant or non-English speaking populations. Specifically, the grant will help create a series of book distribution events linked to its 21 Read in Color book-sharing boxes and ensures Everybody Wins has a sufficient supply of diverse books to meet both summer 2022 needs along with projected needs for School Year 22-23.
