Community Service Grants have a rich history of supporting grassroots organizations in Washington, DC since 1922. We offer our aid to promising local initiatives, providing them the expertise and funding necessary to make a significant impact. Grants are awarded to projects that serve Washington Metropolitan Area residents.
Application Deadline
Applicants are invited to submit proposals for one or both grant opportunities, noting that only one grant will be awarded to any applicant. While several $1,000-$5,000 Community Service Grants will be awarded, only a few $20,000 Foundation Special Grants are able to be awarded. Grants are awarded to projects that serve Washington Metropolitan Area residents. Funding is available for eligible non-profit organizations for specific-identifiable program activities. General operating or overhead funding requests are not supported.

The form requires details about your organization, description of the proposed project, the potential impact, budget and funding needs. Prepare a comprehensive presentation of how the grant can bring positive transformations to the community.
